LAS VEGAS, Sept. 27, 2011 — Bally Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BYI), a leader in slots, video machines, casino-management, mobile applications, and networked and server-based systems for the global gaming industry, recently installed a powerful new lineup of Bally games and its award-winning iVIEW Display Manager™ (DM) player-user-interface at the legendary Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut.
Guests at Foxwoods can now experience games on the new Bally Pro Series™ cabinets, including thrilling titles like Playboy Hot Zone™, Ole Jalapenos™, Mercury™, and Hot Hot Habanero.
Foxwoods will deploy Bally’s iVIEW DM and Elite Bonusing Suite™ technology in targeted areas of its massive gaming floor. iVIEW DM will enable Foxwoods to provide guests with an enhanced player experience at most gaming machines, using a dynamic picture-in-picture-style on the gaming device main screen that does not interrupt game play. iVIEW DM, when combined with Elite Bonusing Suite, also enables powerful floor-wide promotions, tournaments, and virtual-racing events, enhancing the player experience and adding excitement to game play.
In addition, Foxwoods has installed Bally’s new Service Tracking Manager™ (STM), an automated dispatch and alert system, on 5,400 gaming machines with more to be added soon. When Foxwoods’ players press the service-request button at the game, or when a machine alert is triggered, Bally’s STM sends an alert notification to the nearest employee’s mobile device, triggering them to service the request −significantly enhancing customer service at the sophisticated casino resort.
“We are excited about the potential offered by iVIEW DM and the Elite Bonusing Suite to increase player excitement and engagement across our floor,” said Lou Rosa, Foxwoods’ Vice President of Slot Operations. “The STM system works tremendously for our property. It is extremely stable and we believe it will provide a great return on our investment. It has done wonders for our ability to analyze data to improve customer service, increase employee productivity, and create operational metrics.”
STM is a rule-based, automated dispatch system that creates and assigns tasks to eligible casino personnel by intercepting messages from Bally’s suite of systems products. STM has been built specifically to increase employee productivity and efficiency by enabling casino employees to rapidly respond to customer requests and system alerts.
STM interfaces with handheld smart devices such as the iPhone® and iPad® for faster routing of casino-floor personnel to customers. Drinks come faster; and service requests, service failures, jackpots, and patron enrollment are prioritized and assigned to appropriate technicians automatically.
“It’s truly an honor to partner with a world-class casino like Foxwoods and work together to see our new core for-sale video game content, along with iVIEW DM and STM, make a positive difference on their casino floor,” said Bally Technologies’ President and Chief Operating Officer Ramesh Srinivasan. “These products are becoming more and more popular around the world, and it’s satisfying to hear that our valued customers are seeing their productivity and efficiency improve thanks to our products.”
